What we do and What it means.
Lock out: When you are outside your car but your keys are inside the car with the doors locked.
Keys Made: Different definitions for different circumstances.
- When keys are lost or not available
- You have a working key but need an extra key
- The key you have doesn’t work, this could mean it is worn or possibly a malfunctioning lock.
Remotes/Fob: A Remote/Fob is a “clicker”. It is not a key, but the part with the buttons to primarily lock/unlock your doors.
Remote Head Key: The key and remote are built into the same unit or part.
Ignition Services: If your key is not longer working properly, you probably need to have your ignition serviced. For example, you have to jiggle the key to get it to turn or key won’t go in or out of the ignition smoothly. Ignitions can be repaired easier before they stop working completely to avoid replacement.
Schedule this repair before it schedules you, by leaving you stranded.
Re-Flash ECM’s & ECU’s: This is primarily done on older Toyota, Lexus and certain Honda Preludes. Has to be done when all keys are lost to your vehicle.
